Getting Started with Shibby

Here you will find all the information you need to easily get started using Shibby.

The main functions are: save images, save other people's images, organize images and find images.

Save images

To save images to Shibby you can use the following methods:

Method 1: Bookmarklet

A bookmarklet is basically an ordinary bookmark for your browser. But what this bookmark does is loading a small javascript on the website you are currently on, making all the images clickable so you can save them to Shibby!

What you need to do to install it is dragging the link above to your bookmarks toolbar.

Alternatively you can right click the link and "Add to favorites..." (Internet Explorer), "Bookmark link" (Opera).

Method 2: Firefox-addon

If you are using Mozilla Firefox you can save images even easier! All you have to do is installing the addon and right click on the image you want to save and press "Save to Shibby".

Works with Firefox 1.5 and newer.

Organize your images with tags and groups

Organize your images with tags

A tag can be described as a label or category that you can put your images.

By tagging your images you can easily and conveniently keep track of your saved images.

Example:

You could tag this image with:
architecture
house
garden
grass
pool
palm
etc.

Organize your images with groups

Groups are also good for sorting your images. If we take the group "Sports" as an example. There you will find all images of different types of sports.

Examples of how it can look when you add an image to a group:

= The image is in the group.
= Delete image from the group.

You can find this beautiful drop-down menu at the top on the image pages.

Note: You have to be a member of the group to be able to put images in it.
